Jesus called out with a loud voice,
"Father, into your hands I commit my spirit."
When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Heart breaking that my king died for me, and Sunday is coming. His followers will join him in heaven one day.
When I was a little girl in Sunday School, I couldn't fathom the hatred and cruelty inflicted upon Jesus. But I was immensely touched by His words, "Father, forgive them, for they know not whay they do."
A day to be still and think and pray and know.
