Elusive Happiness

" Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, stays always just beyond your grasp.

But which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you."

                                     (Nathanial Hawthorne)

This is a wonderful quote, Susan. I liked it very much. And I see you appreciate the Dandelions too! Aren't they pretty? This photo goes well with the quote you shared. Thank you, dear friend.

Dandelions are my son in laws favorite flowers. I read lots of Hawthorn's books but never saw that quote before. I have lots of butterflies in my yard this time of year. I like to think they bring happiness ......

So much truth in that quote. I always say, Don;t try so hard to make it happen...allow it to happen.
