Having a busy schedule can sometimes knock us for a loop.
During busy working years, while handling a household, kids' schedules, and one's own "to do" list, life could get pretty crazy.
Now, in almost total retirement, some weeks still seem stuffed to the gills.
Right how, there is a stack of unread newspapers that are calling for attention.
At least I got a batch of butterscotch bars baked and quickly packed them into plastic bags.
They are safer to refrain from eating if they are in the freezer. ha ha
Out on the back porch, faux plants need to be brought inside to the enclosed side porch before the snows come.
Lawns, of course, are now filled with millions upon millions of leaves that have to be raked, bagged, and disposed of.
There are still numerous items that need tending to from yesterday's "to do" list.
Well, maybe it's a blessing to be very, very busy at this stage of life.
I hope your day holds many surprise blessings for you!
HOW DO YOU HANDLE A VERY CRAMMED SCHEDULE OF THINGS THAT NEED DOING?

Susan, I have a whole yard filled with Fall leaves that need to be raked and bagged. I will either get the landscaper to do it, or rake them myself. There is always something to do done around the house, isn't there? But your butterscotch bars look scrumptious, and wish I had one with my coffee right now. That's a good idea to freeze some of them for later. I am wondering what you will do with the old newspapers? With all the moves I've had, I got rid of so many things. I guess that's one good thing about moving haha.

When you own a home and are alone there are always tons of things to do...whether you have a list or not. I hope you get things done that are on your list. I take it leisurely and always ask for help...ha.
Sometimes I give up and take a nap. I am always more productive when the sun is shining.
Hi, Susan! It is perfectly fine to say, “No!” Though, often the calendar becomes crowded through no effort of our own! We are not good at asking for help, as Diane recommends, but that is what we need to do! So smart to bake something and “hide” it away in the freezer for later. “Later” may come earlier than you think.:-) I read our newspaper right after breakfast every morning, then it’s ready for recycling the next day when the new one is delivered. This is just a routine I’ve made myself follow. It’s important that you be easy on yourself! Someone mistakenly sent out the message years ago that we need to be super powers and do it all! - xoxo
