A Table for Valentine's Day

With Valentine's Day less than two weeks away, it's fun to decorate one's space, in order to stretch out the holiday.

A very dear cousin, Marianne, has the magic touch when it comes to decorating.

She knows how to put little things together in a big way.

We take turns having tea parties at each other's houses.

This month, it was at hers and, as usual, everything was great.

She served homemade corn muffins with butter, peach jam from Spain and strawberry jam from France,  mouth-watering cheddar cheese, grapes, chocolate, and coffee or ginger tea.

Two red candles flickered in the middle of the decorated table and, well, the tea party was a class act, as usual.

Of course, the best part of it was the company!

 Thanks, Marianne.

Happy early Valentine's Day to all!

If interested, stop by again and we'll show you some other scenes from the tea party!

DO YOU EVER HAVE TEA PARTIES WITH FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS?

I just went out to a high tea at a restaurant with my son and daughter in law and grandson last week. I had chocolate mint tea and a scone with whipped cream and strawberry jam. It was yummy. They served a variety of finger sandwiches and petite desserts.

What a lovely tea party, and your cousin set a nice and festive table. I like the colors you used, pink and red. Those are classic Valentine colors. The jams from Spain and France sound delightful. I used to have tea at a friend's house from Church in my old town. She introduced me to scones, and I've loved them ever since. I sure do miss that time with her. Homemade corn muffins are just scrumptious.....and corn bread also. ; )
