Blooming!

Pink hyacinth has busted out in bloom.

The heady fragrance can be easily detected upon entering the kitchen.

This beautiful plant brings great happiness to the heart.

It's usually a sign of spring, too, although right now, everything outside is buried under heavy snow.

According to Wikipedia, the flower is "native to eastern Mediterranean from the north of Bulgaria through to the Northern part of the region of Palestine."

That website also said the bulbs of hyacinth are poisonous.

I didn't know that fact so was careful when lifting the hyacinth to add water to her vase.

Ahhhhhh, such a beautiful flower hyacinth is and, at least, it carries the hope of spring.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR HYACINTH?

I like lavender. That is my favorite color of that plant. Very pretty pink one though. Lucky you.

They have the most delightful fragrance. If only I had a green thumb. Soon spring will arrive with surprises.
