Today, the frightened faces of little innocent Ukrainian children are first and foremost in mind.
Suffering of fellow human beings is always tragic but when it comes to children, to me, it's even more so.
People are fleeing from Ukraine by the hundreds.
Children don't understand and are filled with fear.
The goodbyes are heart-wrenching and tragic beyond belief.
Today, hopefully, many people around the world will stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people as well as the Russian people who also, for the most part, do not want this horrible war.
Prayer is about the only thing people far away from the bloodshed can do but, perhaps, it's the best thing.
HOW DO YOU REMAIN PEACEFUL WHEN NEWS AROUND THE WORLD IS TRAGIC?

I pray and go to Mass and ask the Lord to help them all. Let There Be Peace On Earth is a hymn for all today and always.

When children suffer, it breaks my heart, Susan. This is a terrible time for sure, but don't lose your hope, my dear friend. There is something to remember through it all. This is God's world, and He is taking care of it. Sending comfort and love to you, sweet Susan.

It is unbelievable to me that man can not truly evolve and transcend such aggression. Greed and power are terrible things to build one's world around. After my scary heart arrhythmia last year, I've had to unplug and not get pulled into a negative spiral of news on the daily.
