Ready for Easter and for Spring

A very dear friend, (I call her Christina), has a knack for cooking, gardening, interior decorating, and painting, as in art.

Imagine having that many talents.

Later in the spring, her patio and yard are alive with sumptuous flowering plants in a sea of colors, fragrances, and varieties.

At this time of the year, the inside of her house shows numerous flowering plants, too.

Some are "real" and spreading intoxicating fragrance throughout all the rooms of Christina's "gingerbread" cottage home.

Other plants there look stunning but are "faux."

It will be up to you to determine which are which.

One has to run fingers across the petals to find out the plants do not require water.  Ever!

I visited Christina recently and we had one of her delicious lunches with lots of chatting, laughing, and a few tears.

We have been friends since we were both in college and believe me, that was a  very long time ago.

Today, with her consent, some blooms inside her home are shown, including those arranged with pussy willows, on the springy fireplace mantel.

And, oh yes. In case you couldn't tell, she is a diehard Collie lover!

DO YOU USE BOTH LIVING AND FAUX PLANTS IN YOUR HOME DECOR? CAN YOU TELL US?

We have had internet woes so hopefully this new plan with a new company will work. Your friends home is beautiful. Love all the pretties around the mantle. I use silk flowers in the winter as nothing grows here that ai would be able to display. I have missed my visits. It is nice to see you here.

I have two real plants and two fake plants in my house. That's about it. Christina's house is quite lovely, and she definitely has a green thumb.

Your friend's home is charming, Susan. So nice you got a chance to visit her recently. I like her brick fireplace, and it reminds me of my Mom's. She also had one. I'm wondering if that little Christmas tree is lit up all year long. Sounds like she's a very creative and talented lady with many hobbies.

Happy Easter to one of my most beloved blog friends. : )
