The first thing thought about upon waking today is how beautiful the weather is for the parade.
There has been no parade for two years now, due to COVID, but today, at last, it will be held.
Seeing the gorgeous weather and feeling a cool breeze instead of heat are definitely things to be thankful for.
Add to that fun at barbecues, kids waving American flags, and, of course, fireworks to light up the night sky.
Of course, we think about the people of Ukraine and say a quiet prayer for their well-being and a quick-as-possible end to the wretched war.
Blessings to all on this deeply appreciated Independence Day.

Thankful to live in a country that is has so many freedoms. I know freedom isn't free and many have died giving us that freedom. Today is a day to celebrate this wonderful country we live in. God Bless America
