Something Yummy

  Here comes an admittance.

In my entire life, cappuccino had never touched my lips!

Imagine?

Despite all the coffee shops and specialty places frequented, I had never tried an Italian cappuccino.

It's a hot drink that's a mixture of espresso, foamed and steamed milk.

Okay, so it was time to try one before my time comes to kick the bucket.

Out with my dear friend, Christina, the day before her birthday, we went to a specialty coffee shop in a small town in Western Massachusetts.

Cappuccino and a maple hazelnut biscotti, a very hard cookie one can dip into a hot drink to soften, comprised our orders.

First of all, the cappuccino was gorgeous with a creamy decoration on its surface.

The biscotti tasted crunchy and flavorful and made the perfect thing to dip into the creamy cappuccino!

Both cappuccino and biscotti tasted yummy.

This goes to show that a person can find happy surprises in life, even when not looking for them!

It happened to be the day before Christina's birthday, too, so that made it a double celebration.

HAVE YOU TRIED DRINKING A  CAPPUCCINO?

The cappuccinos look delightful, and I love those orange cups they served you. Isn't it sweet how they can make those pretty designs with the steamed milk? And that hazelnut biscotti was an extra treat for you. I'm so glad you finally had a Cappuccino with your friend, Susan.

Here in the mountains, there is a coffee shop. It's a small drive through, and surprisingly they make wonderful specialty hot coffees. So me and my son drive through from time to time, and we get the latest holiday drinks. : )

Not a fan of coffee at all...I tried a cappuccino when I was in Italy. They put chocolate decorations on the one I had. I only took a sip...I also do not care for biscotti but my sisters love it and I get it for them when they visit me.

I have never had cappucinno. But I like very weak coffee, so it seems like it would be too strong for my liking. I do like biscotti. And am looking forward to having lunch with a few friends this week. Our weather is going to rebound and hit mid seventies later this week. I am not complaining!

Good for you for jumping into the joy of a cappuccino and biscotti. I love lattes with those pretty decorative swirls on top. All month I've been enjoying pumpkin spice lattes at our local cafe that makes wonderful mugs of coffees. With October nearly over, I'm sure they'll be experimenting with gingerbread flavours or maybe peppermint. Not sure if I'll enjoy them as much but I'll give it a go.

Happy weekend, Susan!
