When weather predictions include heavy snow accumulation or freezing temperatures, they are bearable, depending on one thing------the sun.
If the sun is shining, things are a-okay.
It's not that the sun has magical powers or anything like that.
But even disappointing things are made better when one is bathed in the sun's golden glow. It's pleasing how it comes filtering through the lacy curtains on the windows of my temporary abode.
It lights up the red plastic cardinal hanging from the top of the curtain.
It filters in onto the pink lampshade with the pretty dangles hanging from it.
It makes a person smile as a new day begins.
When my kids were little, we used to sing a "jivy" song that began with the words, "Sun, sun, Mr. Golden Sun. Please shine down on me!"
Here's hoping your day will be sun-filled and even sprinkled with fun.

No sun here today and for the next three days but then it will shine again. I know that song too ...love it.
We've got beautiful blue skies and sunshine on this Monday. It's lovely. I agree with your comment that 'even disappointing things are made better when one is bathed in the sun's golden glow'.
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead, Susan.

Susan, you're right, it's even prettier when we have a big snow, and the sun comes out and shines on it all. It looks magnificent. Speaking of snow, we had a big one yesterday and today, and it hasn't stopped falling since. That's sweet that you remember the song that you sang with the kids when they were little. I have a similar one, "you are my sunshine." Your temporary space is charming, and you made it even more cozy with your personal touches. I like those pillows! Oh Yes, the glorious sun.....what would we do without it?
