Lights in a front window at holiday time are festive and attractive.
Colored lights are nice, but, ( personally thinking,) all white lights are best.
Even though the vast number of plastic totes containing Christmas ornaments, Santas, and tons more are impossible to count, they are safe in a storage unit.
The scraggly amount of decorations that could be located from storage have been accounted for, recorded, and placed in the apartment living room.
A very small tree with colored lights will be the main tree in the apartment this Christmas.
The new apartment is lovely but terribly small compared to other years and locales.
This is a year of adjusting.
Back to the two strings of lights in the front window...
They frame a beautiful Santa in a velvety dark cranberry outfit.
His beard is a mass of curls.
The lights have been attached to the window with rectangles of tape but they keep untaping.
When the lights come apart, they flop down around Santa.
I'm not giving up, though.
Santa surrounded by lights makes a dapper figure in the window in my new neighborhood.

Lights in the window are so magical this time of year, Susan. Your window looks so pretty with the lights and greenery and Santa in the center. I didn't realize you had more Christmas decorations in storage. Oh my, how fun it would be to look through them and put some out for the season. I love the colored lights the best on a Christmas tree, but the white lights are really nice in the frame of a window. Beautiful, Susan.
