The "Real" First Sunday of Advent

Today, Dec. 3, is the first Sunday of Advent.

In last Sunday's post, I made a mistake  and inadvertently said the first Sunday of Advent was last week.

So very sorry for that.

In any event,  awaiting the occurrence of the Christ child's birth is glorious.

His birth changed the course of the world in a magnificently good way.

The sweet little Jesus boy continues to bring hope and light to our weary and often cruel world.

Speaking of light, a pretty glass Christmas tree around here is also a music box that plays "Oh Christmas Tree."

Well, for some unknown reason, the light inside no longer works so I picked up a tiny gold Christmas tree that's attached to a tea light.

I bought it at a dollar store and put it under the glass Christmas tree.

Voila!  The pretty little glass tree now has light and music.

Jesus is the light of the world and Christians everywhere can rejoice.

Very clever, Susan. That was a smart idea. I love your little Christmas tree that lights up, and Yes, Jesus is the light of the world!

Have a lovely Sunday.
