The Sweetness of Life

Almost everyone has heard of the bitterness and hard times of life.

But life holds sweetness, too, and all one must do to find it is look around.

The "sweet" house shown in this post today happened to be in a store window in Stockbridge, in Western Massachusetts.

Written on its roof are the words, "Peace on Earth."

Now somebody had to have spent a lot of time and effort constructing the beautiful gingerbread house. They put it in a front window so many people can enjoy seeing it.

That house is one person's way of sharing life's sweetness with others.

Discovering life's good things takes practice and daily observation.

Each day, if one tries to find good things around them, they are surely to be found.

They may be very small things such as enjoying a meal or getting some chores completed.

Maybe the sweetness will be found in helping another person or doing something that makes someone else smile.

Being kind to salespeople and restaurant workers, bank tellers and the janitor at a child's school can have great results.

That person may have been having a bad day and a kind comment may have caused them to smile at last and feel validated.

When looking for the sweetness of life, a person does not necessarily have to look far. There are examples wherever one looks.

One just has to find them.

CAN YOU SHARE SOMETHING YOU SAW OR DID TODAY THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THE SWEETNESS OF LIFE?

That is the cutest little sweet house, Susan. And I love the words that are written on the roof. This post is perfect to show the sweetness in life to others. And what better day to post it on than Sunday. You are such a good person, Susan, and I'm so glad that you are in my life.

Have a pleasant Sunday.

There is a lot of sweetness in this life, and I give and receive and observe sweet moments and acts every day. The gingerbread house is a gift to all who see it including your readers like me.

Love the gingerbread house. You have made many with kids yourself. I have company and I enjoy making her smile with meals I've made for her and things we do together.
