Beautiful Journals

For many years now, keeping gratitude journals has become a regular part of life.

As soon as one is filled and placed on a shelf, a blank volume comes down to take its place.

On the left side of each journal are appealing pictures from magazines or the fronts of greeting cards that have brought joy and smiles.

One clipping shows an old-fashioned stove just like a paternal, Lithuanian grandmother had.

It evokes memories of all her delicious pies, soups, and other delicacies.

The journal covers, themselves,  mostly done in roses or other flowers, are also the norm.

Why write in an ugly journal when writing and keeping track of all there is to be thankful for?

As a personal preference, beautiful journals make for more happiness and satisfaction.

In addition, keeping track of all there is to be thankful for richly enriches one's life.

DO YOU KEEP GRATITUDE JOURNALS?

Oh Susan, I love journals, and Yes, I have a few of my own. I love the fact that you place pictures from magazines and greeting cards on the left side of your journals. The picture of the old-fashioned stove your grandmother had is so charming. And it brings fond memories for you of the cooking and baking she did. I LOVE the words on your journal with the pink roses. That journal is perfect for you, as you love Pink! Thanks for the reminder to write in my journal, it's been awhile. This was such a delightful post today, Susan.
