The potted roses purchased for summer are in memory of my late husband.
He loved red roses more than any other flowers.
The tag on the roses said they'd bloom a second time and would last until fall.Indeed, they have been very generous with beautiful red blooms.
But now, something is eating them and it makes me mad and sad.
There are little holes in the leaves, too.
Looking up online how to rescue roses that are being eaten alive, one website said to mix dish detergent with water and spray the rose plant.
I'm about to try that to see if it works and hope it does.
Hope you all have a very nice Saturday!

Your red roses are so pretty, Susan. That's so nice that they remind you of your husband. Roses should last longer than that. And if they are planted, they should last for years. They are such sturdy flowers. My mini roses made it through the harsh winters and snow up here. The statue next to your roses is lovely. Let us know if you ever find out who's eating the roses. ; )

I'm sorry to hear about your poor roses. Hope you discover what's eating them. It would be a real shame to lose your roses before the season has barely begun. How lovely to have red roses in memory of your dear husband. Wishing you a pleasant evening, Susan.
I have bunnies in my yard eating the grass and lots of other things. I have not the heart to try to get rid of them as they are too cute.
