The thought of restoring an angel has never crossed the mind.
However, during the the Christmas holidays, while perusing a Goodwill thrift store, a most potentially glorious angel stood out.
She was on a top shelf that contained all kinds of junk.
There was just something about her that drew her to me.
Angel has no chips or cracks.
She's be drop dead gorgeous if painted a bright and shiny gold.
Her left hand must have held a trumpet at one time.
Does anyone have such a trumpet from junk jewelry or tree ornaments they would like to part with?
She needs a trumpet to play.
In the meantime, the kind of paint needed will be researched; maybe even gold leaf?
We cannot have any fallen angels around here.
She needs a magnificent restoration and I'll keep you posted on the progress.
HAVE YOU EVER WORKED WITH GOLD LEAF?

Good luck with that angel. I'm not at all crafty so have never worked with gold leaf. I hope the restoration will give you much joy.
Hi Susan....such a beautiful angel. not sure if watched any of the Hallmark Christmas movies, but your post reminded me of one. Not sure the name of it, but the lady was given an angel by her father and it ended up broken...Part of it had gotten thrown away but she ended up with the angel and the wing she had matched it perfectly. A great story.
