Sometimes the simplest possessions in our homes or apartments hold the biggest memories.
There is a pair of red eyeglasses around here with small, colored sparkles all around the top of the frame.
They are definitely my style.
Even the parts of the glasses one puts behind the ears are colorful and zany.
Someone probably bought them at a dollar store and then "doctored" them up into gahgah bling stage before selling them. While perusing a street arts and crafts fair in a Colorado town, while visiting family last year, on vacation, the sparkly red glasses immediately appealed to me.
They are the only thing that was purchased by me that day.
When slipping on the glasses on these dark and foreboding winter days, they bring an immediate lift to my spirit.
They conjure the sweet and loving faces of the little people in the family I was visiting and love.
All of that from one pair of red, sparkly glasses? Yup.
DO YOU LOOK FOR SPECIFIC THINGS IF YOU GO TO ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIRS?

Oh gosh I only wear my prescription glasses and sunglasses. I've not ever had a pair of colored glasses like those. Wow...very classy.
Those are delightful glasses, Susan. Love the colored sparkles around them. Sometimes we just have to purchase a little sparkle. Yesterday, when I was at Rite Aid, a stuffed bunny called out to me. It was grey with gold glittery specks all over her. I had to get her for Charlotte for Easter. It was the cutest thing. Sometimes I come across delightful things and want to keep them for myself hehehe. ; ) I'm so glad these simple glasses remind you of all your Colorado loved ones. Craft Fairs are the best. Such wonderful unique items sold there.

I LOVE your red bling-bling glasses, Susan. What fun you must have wearing them.
I don't attend many art markets or craft sales these days. When I go, I tend to look at art things - handmade cards and notebooks, for example.
