Happy Saturday, Everyone...
May your day be filled with many good things, thoughts, and deeds.
Two of my little grandsons both love to take photos.
One, age nine, asked if he could use my cellphone one afternoon this past week. It actually takes really nice photos. He went out onto the familys sun room and took photos of a small bouquet of flowers in an amber vase.
It came out quite lovely.
I told him he was a very good photographer and maybe he'd make that his profession.
Nope. He made it very clear that was not in the cards.
It's important to let children develop their own interests, even if they become just hobbies instead of professions.
Children need to be commended, encouraged, and validated.
Many times, the seeds of the future are truly planted in childhood.
Isn't the little bouquet of flowers adorable?

So true about encouraging kid's talents, you never know which one will grow up to do great things with a little positive feedback. By the looks of the mess Trump and his toady Elon Musk have made, one assumes all they got were a lot of spankings when they were little.
Your grandson took a nice picture with your cell phone, Susan. The flowers in the Amber vase is delightful. I see your daughter loves Amber pieces like you. That's wonderful that you encouraged him with his photography, even if it will be just a hobby. This picture is special because it was taken with little hands.
Have a restful weekend, my dear Susan.

I just woke up and at first I thought the flowers were in a pineapple. Hà ha. I see that they are in a glass vase. Very good photo from your grandson. Isn't technology great? Not many more camera pictures...just use your phone. Wait till he gets his own iphone then you will see more of his "hobby'" for sure.
