The Merry Month of May

The merry month of May is edging closer to its end.

Don't worry, each day left will be totally savored, for the treasure that it is.

But June will be here before anybody knows it.

For those who embrace Catholicism, May has traditionally been the month to honor Mary, the Mother of God.

Here in the apartment, the statue of our Lady of Guadalupe came to spend the month on the small kitchen table.

A candle, surrounded by faded pink roses and daisies, has been lighted in front of her.

We don't pray to the statue. We honor the Mother of God that it represents.

Soon, the statue will go back onto the bedroom dresser, where there is the icon of Mary shown at the top of this post.

With all my heart, I hope the month of May has been a good one for you.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day so those who have it free from work will have a nice three day weekend.

Enjoy each moment of today and Monday.

There's still time to enjoy every minute of the lingering days of Merry May!

so hard to believe that May is coming to an end. Seems like the beginning of the month was just a few days ago. Enjoy this glorious Sunday Susan

The year will be halfway over with June coming next Sunday. Here we had a special tribute and put flowers on our statue of Mary at church. The soloist sang Ave Maria. I love praying to Mary for intercession with her son.

They have a big statue of our Lady of Guadalupe at our Church, right in the center of the garden there. And I love the image of Mary you have on your bedroom dresser. May was a beautiful month for me, and I'm glad it was for you as well, Susan. I'm not so sure about June. That's when the heat starts to rise haha. As your title says, The Merry Month of May.....that surely says it all. : ) May the remaining days of May show kindness to you, dear friend.
