Loving Pothos

There's a pothos plant hanging in my daughter's home.

It's a really beautiful plant that is so generous with its lovely green leaves.

It seems to be growing prodigiously.

My daughter's pothos was given to her by one of my nieces.

Every time I visit, the plant seems to have grown more!

It has long stems inching up two different windows!

There is a lot of information on the internet about pothos.

For instance, I read where it is extremely poisonous to humans and animals so we won't be munching on the leaves any time soon.

One site said it's also known as "devil's ivy" because it's hard to kill it.

It can take a great deal of neglect yet hangs on!

Still, it makes me smile that a cutting of it is coming to my apartment!

WHAT HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT POTHOS?

Susan this is certainly a wonderful plant. I have one but it is not that large. It looks like your daughter has it in the perfect spot. Years ago I had a "sister" one that was called Golden Pothos. It has more yellow and green leaves but it too did well...hmm - wonder how I lost it? Most likely it just plain got neglected to the point of no return. ):!

Oh I've seen that plant when I visited her. I hope the cat doesn't munch on those leaves . It really is unusual . I know she has a green thumb so it will likely survive a long time. Enjoy your cutting and I hope it blooms for you.

Sweet Susan....the pothos ivy is such a neat plant. they don't need the perfect window or fancy soil. Honestly, it thrives on neglect...lol One great thing about it is that it purifies the home and kinda absorbs the indoor toxins. You need to break off a piece and start one for yourself.
