The Merry Month of May

Almost all of us have heard the expression, "April showers bring May flowers."

Of course, it's true.  May, being well situated at the beginning of spring, offers all kinds of beautiful blooms.

Going to a garden center at this time of year is beyond exciting.  It's an experience that makes a person glad to be alive.

It's always amazing to see hundreds of hanging flowering plants, flowering plants in containers, and bright, blooming flowers in flats.

A vase filled with gorgeous blooming flowers just lifts one's spirits to the high heavens.

Whenever it's time for jotting down things that reflect self-care, buying flowers is always on the list.

Some people dislike artificial flowers but not me. All flowers, living and silk, can be delightful to see.  Some of the silk ones look incredibly real.

We don't even need huge bouquets of flowers. A single rose or carnation in a pretty vase brings smiles to our faces.

May is very a beautiful month that gives sunshine, blue skies, warmer temps, and flowers.  And yes, rain, too.

Next time you get caught in a downpour, just think how good it is for the flowers!

Oh I am with you - flowers are such a gift from God and May delivers such a wide variety of blooms. It has taken me over 60 years to say beyond a doubt - May is my favorite month of the year. Enjoy the week and all it brings. Hugs!

I agree Susan...How blessed we are to have the joy of flowers in our lives. I have always been a flower person (they are a weakness of mine). I take that back..god has given us this blessing and we should enjoy them to the fullest. I have roses in a vase on my kitchen bar and they bring a smile to my face each time I pass them. thanks for the sweet reminder of the beauty of flowers.

We had rain over the weekend and again today which is rare for May but we needed it here in So Cal. When I looked out my dining room window my yellow tea roses were all in bloom. So pretty. Enjoy the rain and spring flowers where you live.

The flowers are so pretty and such vibrant colors! I have been wanting to go to the nursery lately, for all the reason you mentioned. It's just an uplifting place to visit, isn't it? I see you have your wooden doll out and that beautiful red table cloth with the neat design. It all looks so nice for the wonderful month of May. My favorite month, indeed.

What a striking photo - the flowers and the tablecloth. Just gorgeous. Silk or live - makes no difference to me although as I’ve gotten older, I cannot have flowers in my bedroom or I wake up with swollen eyes and a sore through!
I’m excited that it’s May!

The flowers are so lovely, real or silk and the colorful displays makes a heart happy. So grateful to be here. Have missed all the bloggers since my surgery. Happy I am here at long last. We have lots of rain but I stepped outside a few minutes ago and the rain is lifting and sun is popping up. Have a blessed day.
