New Painting

This weekend found me driving with my daughter and three local grands to a humdinger of a church tag sale.

We wait all year long for this annual event.

The men and women of St. John's Church in western Massachusetts do a fabulous job getting merchandise ready for the sale.

Everything is spotless, crystal clear and clean, and beautifully presented.

Well, because I am in a different stage of life, what is selected at sales is very, very limited.

My daughter, however, found a large painting that she said was "screaming" my name.

Yes, I loved it.  No, I didn't need it.  Yes, it came home with me for five bucks. No, I don't regret it. Yes, I definitely love it!

So, there you have it.  It's a profusion of colorful flowers and it cheers up the entire living room.

It replaced a mirror that now needs a place to hang but today's not the day to think of that.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

So glad you found something at the tag sale that you love and had room for.

What a pretty painting. It looks like there are different shades of reds and pinks in the flowers. I absolutely love yard sales, and church sales are probably even more organized. So glad you found something there, Susan. It's always nice to bring home a new item for the home, especially one that is calling our name. ; )
