While driving to a sister's house this week, seeing the gorgeous trees in different shades of color, was nothing short of breathtaking.
On the long driveway up to my niece's house, I could see her festive fall touches with pumpkins and gourds.
Gratitude filled my heart to the brim.
How awesome it was to see such incredible color and feel the cool breeze coming in the car window.
Checking that no car was anywhere behind me, I'd pull over to the side of the road and snap photos.
This is an absolute favorite season from start to finish.
That the Creator of the Universe has given us such precious gifts, including the gift of sight, just blows me away.

A favorite season of mine as well. I don't know if it's the bright oranges and yellows or if it's the just the change of seasons, but I sure can get all excited about Fall. these are great photos and I love the simplicity of the pumpkins on the table.
Your niece's little pumpkin display is delightful, Susan. I like the lantern sitting next to it. That is one tall skinny tree! This looks like a nice country drive. The gift of sight is precious, and I'm thankful for it every day. There are too many things to mention what I like about Fall. But just know, I love it all! Have a weekend filled with love and peace and joy.

I was driving out of Cape Cod today and the autumn leaf splendor was fabulous. I love New England at this time of year. The sunshine made it all the better.

For me, I love the feeling of the crisp air and the sound of the crunchy leaves underfoot during a walk. And, like your niece, I love seeing all the creative ways people decorate with pumpkins and gourds. It feels like a fresh start to the coziest part of the year.
Not a fan of autumn, don't like cold weather, leaf mess around drains, increasing heat bills, shorter days. The only plus I can think of is Halloween candy clearance sales.
There is so much to love about autumn. A few for me include: the brilliant colours, the crisp air, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin chiffon pie with whipped cream, sweater weather, harvest and wrap up for the season, the feeling of a new year when September starts the new school term.
