These are the glory days of autumn.
Roadside stands are filled with apples, pumpkins in all shapes and even colors, gourds, dried corn stalk decorations, and plenty of butternut squash.
Temps this week have been a little crazy.
It's downright chilly in the mornings, so we don sweaters and sweatshirts.
By noon, temps are up and off come the sweaters and sweatshirts, exchanged with lighter clothes.
By late afternoon, it zips back to chilly.
It must be hard to be a weather person, predicting the kind of day is ahead.
However, as long as the autumn sun shines brightly, and the skies are blue and beautiful, one can withstand the rapid change in temps.
No doubt about it, this is the most delightful and picturesque time of year in New England.

After a week of brutally hot over 90 and 100 degree heat we are finally getting some RAIN this weekend and it will start to feel like fall. Enjoy your beautiful New England weather with the changing temps and leaves.
ReplyDeleteOur weather has been very similar, Susan, except next week starts the cooler weather, and it's supposed to stay. It really is a pretty time in northern California too. I'm glad you are enjoying this month of October. It goes by quickly, and I love all the things you mentioned about the season....apples, pumpkins, gourds, squash. I also think the Indian corn is nice for decorations. Have a blessed October week, dear Susan.
