Delicate sculptures are extremely appealing. As if frozen in time, they are a delight to the eyes.
While browsing in Saver's this past holiday season, I came across a ballerina music box balanced on a shelf in dance position. She was graceful and perfectly posed, as if ready to twirl around a stage. She caught me off guard because I was not in the market for a ballerina.
The music accompanying her mid-air balancing act is from the Nutcracker Suite. It's mysterious and haunting as the little ballerina, herself.
So today she dances on a dresser in the guest bedroom, adding charm and a touch of grace to the decor.
Even though not on the lookout for a ballerina music box, finding her was a stroke of good luck. It's the little things that add a touch of pizazz to everyday living. Every glimpse of the little ballerina makes me happy!

I have a ballerina music box too ..It belonged to my daughter when she took ballet lessons...many many years ago. I still have it and it plays "Dance Ballerina Dance"....so much fun. Thanks for sharing yours...xo
