Have you heard of one-stroke painting? I never had, until a dear friend of mine introduced me to it.
She is a master at the painting technique and is a dedicated devotee. She has paint tubes in a dizzying array of colors and dozens of demonstration cds. She waits for magazines to arrive with new patterns and projects and when they come, she pours over them for hours.
She has painted everything from snowman families and teddy bears to gardens filled with flowers and round "vacation fund" jars.
My own favorite flowers are pink roses so any gift from my artist friend is plastered with them. Nothing could make me happier than to receive another of her gifts, covered with pink roses.
A heart-shaped glass dish that she gave me is perfect for Valentine's Day. Fully blossomed pink roses as well as buds, edged in green, decorate the dish. It can be put down flat on a table or tilted sideways.
Right now, it's part of a Valentine's Day display on the kitchen table. The pink roses add a real touch of spring on a dark winter's day.
Do you have special decorations for Valentine's Day? What's your favorite?

I wish I had a one stroke painting from that friend!
That is one of the most beautiful plates and paintings I have ever seen! Lovely and so delicate. It does make you feel good - especially on a rainy and gloomy day.
Have a good one.

Hello Susan! Welcome! Welcome! Thank you so much for following, too! It was wonderful to see that you stopped by and followed. Yes, Donna Dewberry is one of my friend's Number One one-stroke artist mentors! She's fabulous. Again, thanks, and I hope you come to visit often. Sincerely, Susan
That's so beautiful. Reminds me a bit of a kit we used when I was a kid - Trichem. My mom used to paint flowers on cotton fabric and then make them up into kitchen towels.
Thanks Susan.
