Hearts and Cupid

Hearts and cupid go together for Valentine's Day.

Actually, around here, both of these are year-round adornments. The little three-inch sculpted cupid, or angel, happened to be a thrift store find. It went from the crammed store shelf to my shopping cart in two seconds flat and has sat on a shelf in my home office ever since.

What joy it is to see the little angel's smiling face and small wings jutting from behind his or her back.
There are tiny fingers on each hand and angel seems to be looking heavenward for something.

The heart shown in the photo is actually a painted tin Mexican Christmas decoration. It is so pretty I decided to keep it out year round, too. The splashy colors light up my office on dark winter days.

Actually, there are other tin ornaments displayed, too, on a shelf near my desk.

DO YOU HAVE ART IN YOUR HOME OFFICE?

I do have some art in my office. We all share an office here and each one of us have a wall. I have a picture my friend Debbie painted, a wall hanging from Sue, a needle point from Monica, a heart from Doris - etc. What I am getting at - is I look at all the wonderful things my friends have made - they decorate my room and my heart.

Yours I know is lovely too.

Hi Susan -

Art? Let's see...there's the Mickey Mouse cartoon from my late husband, a writer cartoon from a friend, lots of family pictures, and a couple of Willow Tree figurines. Do they count?

Blessings,
Susan :)

Susan,
I have hearts in my livingroom, one on the wall with a greeting and a small one on my door. Hearts+love= a happy home.

I don't have art, but have plenty of vintage family pictures! Grandpas, grandmas, great aunts, far cousins...it's a very interesting wall actually, and I'm always in the hunt for more!, from family members who are looking to get rid of such memories (???!!).
lovely decorations!
have a lovely day!
