Restaurant: Stephi's on Tremont in Boston

Boston is a picturesque, historical city that's fun to visit. One can dine in any of hundreds of restaurants but, let it be known, like in cities everywhere, prices are not cheap.

During a recent trip to Boston, it was fun having lunch at Stephi's on Tremont, a rather posh eating establishment with good food and a friendly, helpful server.

Here's the view from our table:

We all took bites of Thai spring rolls as appetizers:

Two of us had yummy lobster rolls:

One had roast beef sandwich with au jus:

One of my dining companions had Lemon Budino for dessert. It was lemon pudding with wild Maine blueberry compote, fresh whipped cream, and sugared shortbread cookies:

Okay, chocolate lovers, here's the Fudgy Brownie Bread Pudding. It came with hot fudge, creme anglaise, and vanilla ice cream:

I didn't order dessert but cannot feel completely sinless because I did sneak in a couple of bites of the desserts on the table.

Here are my two sweet dining companions:

WHAT DID YOU ORDER THE LAST TIME YOU  WENT OUT TO LUNCH?

Miso soup, shrimp and veggie tempura, hot tea...NO dessert. Just ate out last week at a Japanese Sushi place but I'm not a sushi lover so had tempura instead. I've been to Stephie's before...loved it. Those lobster rolls looked delicious!

Oh my goodness girl - you go to such nice places with such beautiful food and I think I gained weight looking at the pictures.

The two girls look like mother and daughter??

Looks like you had a nice time - I enjoy lunch with friends - wish we lived closer.

I love Boston. It's so much fun to walk around and shop! The last thing I got recently for lunch was Eggplant Mess at Camilla's in historic Concord Center.

Those desserts are quite distracting, girlfriend! Oh my ....

Love the tour. We were in Boston in the summer of 09 and didn't get to spend nearly enough time exploring. Hope to return some day.

I had a lobster roll accompanied by home made potato chips. Can't get enough of the lobster rolls! Gary is addicted to the haddock here in the east! We're in Maine right now and ate at the Elm Tree Restaurant in northern Maine.

I had chicken wings with fries! Oh well it was yummy! I haven't been to Boston since I was in my 20's but I loved it and all the history.
