Sunday: An Unexpected Gift

My dear hubs is the real gardener around here.

He doesn't have just a green thumb, it 's gold when it comes to growing flowers.  He's got the magic touch.

He's so proud of his "babies,"  too.  So many times he'll go out into the back yard with a pair of scissors in his hands and come back with flowers to place in a vase on the kitchen table.

The other afternoon when I walked into the kitchen, a gladiola looked like a light had been turned on inside its petals.  The afternoon sun illuminated it so perfectly.  It was quite a sight to behold.

Moments such as those make me feel the presence of God so deeply.  He gives us such rich and loving gifts from His generous hands.

Seeing those lovely flowers also made me so proud of my hubs.

WHO IS THE CHIEF GARDENER IN YOUR HOUSE?

Oh Susan! I love flowers, too. One of these days, I'm going to take the time to plant some..wherever we live next, I guess! You DO have a talented hubby!

I see such beauty in flowers and feel God in them just like you do. I am the flower grower here. I didn't do so well this summer but maybe next year will be better. Lucky you to have such gorgeous blooms. hugs, Linda

When my husband saw how hard his friend and business partner worked on his garden in Jordan, he said that he hoped to be able to do that some day. We have the plants on the balconies here and he sure doesn't mind going out and buying new ones, but I'm the one who tries to keep them alive. :) Hope you are having a lovely day! Best wishes and blessings, Tammy
