Autumn in the Kitchen

Some people like muted, pastel colors in decorating. Others prefer simple but sophisticated black and white.

In our house, I love using splashes of color, the more the merrier.

Our kitchen table is very reminiscent of autumn.  The tablecloth has leaves, pumpkins, and other fall decorations on it.

Out of a bottom drawer came the eye-popping mats in brilliant oranges, reds, and yellows. Even though the pattern is very different than the cloth, they go nicely together.

The chrysanthemum my hubs gave me for my September birthday is front and center in the middle of the table.

Fall is absolutely my favorite season. How about you?

Note:  Today, we are linking with Metamorphosis Monday on Susan's blog, Between Naps on the Porch. Go check out all the wonderful projects people are involved in!

What a beautiful tablecloth!

And yes, I believe autumn IS my favorite season (although I might say the same thing about spring when it comes around...). After a hot, dry summer or frigid winter, both seasons are VERY welcome in my book!

My favorite season is usually Spring! In the south it's the best time of year followed by Fall. I do love all the color! Gorgeous bright colors!
