Do you love going to new shops and checking out their wares?
I love unique crafts and things that make me smile. The finger puppets I found last fall at the Baldwin Country Store in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, cracked me up.
I usually go there for their specially made vanilla extract. You can read a post about it here:.http://writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com/2010/08/no-substitute-for-real-vanilla.html
The puppets were packed away in the attic and I forgot all about them. While poking around up there recently, the little "uglies" popped out of a box.
The minute I laid eyes on them they made me smile all over again.
Downstairs they came and now they are spooking our kitchen windowsill.
Happy early Halloween!
DO YOU HAVE SOME HOLIDAY DECORATIONS THAT MAKE YOU AUTOMATICALLY SMILE?

Oh Susan those are so cute and colorful - and they do make me smile. Someday when you have a grandchild - they will love it when you tell a story with those.
Love, sandie
OMG!! As soon as I saw this pict I had to write. I have some of the same monsters! We found them in a little shop in Helena, MT and we have them displayed on a glove mold in the living room with all the other Halloween decorations. I will have to take a pic and post it on my side bar for you to see! I just knew we were Kindred Spirits! Kit
My puppet IS my hand. I make a loose fist, and draw a mouth with magic marker around my thumb and index finger, add eyes above the mouth and move my thumb and make my hand puppet talk. The students love it.
ha-ha! Well these certainly brought a smile to my face. We are having a dust storm at the moment. Phooey! Hope your day is great. Tammy
Happy Pink Saturday, Susan! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.
Blessinbgs,
Sandi
