The Hills Are Alive...

(Check out the teeny tiny cows!)

Remember the words to the song that went "The hills are alive, with the sound of music?"

Well, the hills around this part of New England are not filled with music but they sure are magnificent to look at.

After that whammy of a freak snowstorm last week, it was great to see the sun come out in full force. It melted most of the snow very quickly.

I had to drive to another town from where I live and the vistas at the top of a hilly slope turned breathtaking. They made me want to just stop my car and gaze.

Sometimes the beauty of the countryside here makes me want to cry tears of sheer gratitude. This is such a beautiful part of the country and I feel so blessed to be here. I missed New England so much during all the years I lived away.

Hope you enjoy the hills, without the music.

DO YOU HAVE HILLS WHERE YOU LIVE?

Every place has its own special beauty from the deserts of Arizona to the New England hills...from sea to shining sea. Our country is beautiful.

Your hills are really magnificent. I do enjoy the mountains on the way to my daughters school in the N.H.

Oh Susan - the hills are alive there - and I live in the foothill of the Kennesaw Mountains - where they fought the Civil War. Very pretty here.

Love, sandie
