Flowers in Needlepoint

Church yard sales can be a feast or a famine.

There's one in a town nearby that is almost always a feast.

The variety of things the people of that church donate to the sale is astounding.

A lot of people wait to go until the second day of the sale. Near the final hour, everything is fill-a-bag-for-a-dollar.

At one of those sales, at the tail end, I grabbed my brown bag and went to town.

Luckily, there were still a lot of very good, nice quality items left so into the bag they went.

Among the amazing goodies found was a framed bouquet of pink flowers with black background, done in needlepoint.

The frame, alone, must have cost a fortune.

This needlepoint would make a perfect pillow top.

Personally, sewing is not one of my strengths but I'm on-the-lookout for someone to take this beauty out of the frame and turn it into a pillow slip.

Do you think that be a good idea?

That was a find girlfriend! It took me three months to do a needle point for Aimer's wedding showwer. It is, indeed, tedious work! There was one like this in one of my catalogs this month. They wanted 489.00 and it was only and 8" square. Consider yourself blessed!

Oops! That was 89.00. That is bad enough!

I never tried needlepoint during my craft years but this one is lovely and a pillow is a great idea to make with it. That part would be easy to do. Enjoy!

I've never done needlepoint but I would imagine it would take a long time to make this. Gorgeous and Yes I think it would look lovely made into a pillow! Hugs, Linda

Susan, this would make a gorgeous pillow. I'd be on the lookout for a seamstress.
