Home Tour

Interior decorating is a passion.

It's exciting to see how other people decorate the spaces in which they live.

Don't you just love to see how different people decorate their beloved homes?

Sally, a very friendly and kind woman I just recently met, let me photograph parts of her home to share on this blog. She was so gracious to do that.

The white ironed and starched piece shown at the top of the post is on her dining room table. Also shown is a lovely plate of Flow Blue china which she collects but we'll have more on that  for you to see at another time.

Being allowed to photograph Sally's home is thrilling, in itself, because her house is more than 100 years old! She has done a fabulous job of renovating, remodeling, and interior decorating.

A project she's most proud of is her newly renovated master bedroom.

She got the gorgeous full mahogany four poster bed at an auction.

The bedroom closets now have lighted interiors!

This painting of a little girl feeding her dollies is so appealing.

This is the upstairs bathroom, done in a kind of dark burgundy wallpaper. It's sooooo pretty.

This wreath is on the bathroom door.

Downstairs, this sweet little wooden kitty cat silently welcomes visitors.

Check this out!  Sally put a pretty teapot on a lace doily in a nook originally intended for a telephone! How cute is that?

Isn't this remodeled kitchen darling? You just cannot go wrong with white cabinets as it cheers everything up!

Many thanks to Sally for letting us take a walk through her lovely New England home.

DO YOU ENJOY SEEING OTHER PEOPLES' DECORATING STYLES?

Yep! I love peeking inside others homes. That's the great thing about blogging. Folks invite you in all the time and you don't even need to leave your couch. Ha! How nice that Sally let you photograph her lovely abode. Have fun on your next outing. Tammy

I always had fun with Mom going through model homes when she was in town. I loved to see how they decorated them. I'm not very good at it myself. This ladies home is very cozy looking in your blog today Susan.

House tours - one of my favorite things to do! The bathroom here makes me think of one in a Bed & Breakfast...I really, REALLY like the pattern on the bed covering & the chair upholstery in the bedroom!

(Of course I was "hooked" when I saw the flow blue on the white square in the first picture!)

I love it when you take us on tour. I like white cabinets too, and that teapot idea is so cute.
