My Easter Basket

All throughout my adult life I've given many, many Easter baskets to others.

When I was a child, my aunts always gave me baskets but since then, I haven't had one until this year!

My own daughter surprised the heck out of me last weekend.

She said, "Mom, you're always giving Easter baskets to others, so here's one for you!

It was the most adorable basket, all wrapped in luminescent cellophane.

I was so excited and felt like a little kid again.

How awesome is that?

I mean, who doesn't love getting a giftie on a special holiday?

Anyway, want to see what was in the adorable basket?

Welllll, this little lambie pie goes over one's hand, puppet style.

Then, there was a sweet little kitchen towel with a chick on it.

These brightly colored plates and napkins will give any table a festive look.

There's a gadget one puts on a table in a restaurant. Then, one can hang a purse without placing it on a floor!  Cool, huh?

And a little white bunny that winds up and hops!

Yeah, it was really wonderful to receive an Easter basket and my heart is so full of thanks for my daughter's thoughtfulness!

She also knows I'm always short on Tupperware containers so she bought me an entire set of more than 70 pieces, all topped with a gorgeous white bow that she made!

Isn't she clever? I told her now there's enough Tupperware to last the rest of my life! ha!

(P.S. Note to my daughter:  Thanks a million, Honey! You're the best!)

DO YOU STILL GET EASTER BASKETS?

That is so sweet and what a wonderful daughter you have! I haven't had an Easter basket in a long time. I do try to make one for my grown kids on occasion. Now I have Tiger and so I will be making him one each year! Gotta love having Grands. Love your big tub of plastic containers...yay! Hugs, Linda

Your daughter is very sweet to you. Mine sent me a gorgeous centerpiece with bunny ears containing roses, carnations, daisies and other beautiful flowers. So glad we had daughters!

What a wonderful wonderful daughter you have there! And I know you deserve it and could use that Tupperware.

Now I have received Easter flowers - but alas - not even when I was little - I don't remember any baskets.

No worries though - I love making and giving them to my grands.

It's always fun to receive a surprise gift especially lots of little gifts in one big basket. I know you will enjoy them all. You will probably be filling up those tupperware containers and giving them away too. Mmmmm! I think sugar cookies in a container with a pretty bow would be fabulous! :) Have a great rest of the day.
