View from the Top

Recently, while visiting family in Boston, I got to see the glamorous lights of the city at night from the 24th floor of the Marriott Hotel at Copley Square.

Two of my sisters stayed there. After a day of shopping, eating out, swimming, and so on, we all met in their room.

When they pulled the curtains, after the sun went down, the view was breathtaking!

If only I had packed my binoculars, I thought. It would have been so much fun to get close-up views of the streets and buildings.

Could not help but wonder who lived behind those lighted windows of apartment buildings.

Looking down on the streets far below and seeing bridges from afar, as well as millions of sparkling lights, it was easy to imagine what a bird sees all the time when in night flight.

Naturally, I snapped my digital camera without stopping and couldn't wait to show you the results.
