Miniature Souvenir Treasures

There's something  I'm so eager to share!  My daughter and her hubs just returned from a trip to Europe they had saved for, for a long time.

Before they left, she asked me if I wanted anything from Europe and I said "Just pick up something for my dollhouses."

She did a GREAT job and here's what she found for me:

This sweet house from Switzerland is not only cute.

Around the back, when you peek through the hole, there are Swiss scenes.

You advance from one to the next by pushing down on the chimney. Isn't that so cute?

This tiny swan made out of glass is one I especially cherish.  I pulled a petal off of a rose, sat little "swanny" on it, and snapped the photo.

It's SO tiny but beautiful, too. Made out of Venetian glass, I think, and from Italy.

Here's a small stuffed square that I think can be used as a dollhouse pillow.

And, saving the best for last, is my darling tea set from The Netherlands.

It's blue and white and has hand painted windmills on it.

So charming!

I'm so grateful to my girl and her hubs for remembering Mama!

Now I have little touches of Europe right in one of my dollhouses!

Oh my goodness Susan - I forgot you had a miniature house. My mother had one and I used to help her with it. She had wonderful things like you.

I really love the swan on the rose pedal. I myself, no miniatures.

Love, sandie

They are all wonderful little items and they have such exquisite detail.

As for me, I do not collect, as such. Rather I tend to accumulate and that is problem enough, lol. Right now I'm trying to declutter and get rid of things. Hopefully I haven't said that on one of your earlier posts. I don't mean to be repetitive ;-)

The miniature tea set is adorable, Susan. The girls used to have a doll house when they were little, and I ended up giving it away. I'm so sorry I did.

Oh yes, Jess collects miniature items. She loves all things small, and whenever I see something around, I always get it for her. Have a good week ahead.

Oh wow! They did bring you back some sweet, wonderful gifts. And the best part is they didn't take up much room in their suitcase. Ha! Have a great week. Tammy

Your miniatures are beautiful. It's lovely when our family knows our tastes, and picks just the right things for us.
