A day trip to Boston is like taking a long vacation, all rolled into a few hours.
There's so much to see and do, as in any big city.
Just like one of those Beverly Hillbillies from television, I love looking up at all the tall buildings.
One sees amazing things in Boston. Take, for example, this very unique equestrian lamp, spotted in a Marriott Hotel!
Close by was this merry-go-round. These never fail to rev up the child in me.
The food offerings in the market made one's head spin. Just take a look at these yummies!
Loved looking at all the merchandise available, too. Oh, it'd be wonderful to have a big fat pocket filled with money!
This artist had darling drawings for sale. I bought one as a gift and hope it will be treasured.
Loved seeing green in the parks in Boston, too.
Well, loved just about everything on our day trip.
More to share on another post.
WHAT, IF ANYTHING, DO YOU LIKE ABOUT MERRY-GO-ROUNDS?

Boston looks like a nice place to visit. The sight of all that dessert is making me hungry.
One of our all-time favorite trips was to Boston back in 2002,late August. It was a last minute decision to tag along with John on business with Abbey and our oldest grandson Jared. We all loved our time there. I took the kids to the USS Constitution and remember a fantastic museum. The transit system was great too.
What gorgeous photos....and those yummy desserts! I want some right now....if only I could literally reach through the screen.

Would love to see Boston again...oh, but so many miles from here!
I think I just gained 5 pounds reading this post! Boston is such a wonderful city. I would love to go back and take my time visiting there. thanks for taking us on this fun tour with you!
This makes me miss Boston! Such a beautiful and interesting place. I love Merry Go Rounds! Makes me feel free and happy like a child! Hugs, Linda
When I was a child, my favorite ride was the merry-go-round, as I have never been adventuresome to try anything like a roller coaster or ferris wheel. The park where our area fair was held each September always featured a merry-go-round, and I was very content to keep riding.:)

I feel like I just took a mini vacation! Thanks so much for sharing your adventure. :)
The last time I was in Boston was when I was a baby. My Dad was in the Air Force and they sent him to MIT for meteorology, so my parents and I lived there for about a year. I would love to go back. I'll most likely remember it the next time I go!
Have a great week,
Karen
Boston is awesome...I visited the places you have shown years ago and have never forgotten it. My favorite memory is hearing the Boston Symphony from a roof top on the fourth of July. Your lucky to live so close.
Boston looks fabulous. I have never been there Susan. Would really love too. I love Merry Go Rounds! sandie
