A funny saying is "Time flies whether you are having fun or not."
Isn't that the truth?
Here we are in a new month and summer is speeding by.
Already it's starting to get dark earlier. I don't like that at all.
It's imperative, however, to live just one sweet day at a time.
Each day we get up and out of bed is a good day, right?
A lot of people can't even do that.
One good thing about a new month is flipping my beloved Susan Branch calendar.
Susan is absolutely one of my favorite people in the whole world. She's a marvelous artist.
But even more than her art, I love her spirit. She's optimistic and lifts a person up with the magic of her words.

It's worth it to change months, just to see her whimsical art and read the witty sayings on her calendars.No year would be complete without hanging one of them on our kitchen door.
No other artist's calendar will do. It's got to be one by Susan Branch.
I'll be sure to buy her 2013 calendar, too, because it's one of the best parts of a new year!
Susan lives part of the year on Martha's Vineyard and part in her native California.
She's such a sweet, charming person.
Even though we have never met, I feel like I know her and certainly wish I did!
Her calendar is now flipped to the new month.
Bye bye, July, hello August.

I've met Susan Branch and have seen all of her "goodies" at a workshop here in So.Cal. I know you enjoy her things. She has a huge following out here.
Suzann, I'm so glad you are enjoying the calendar! That's why I gave a couple of them out on my blog....cuz I really love her work. It is light, happy and inspirational. I wish I could draw like that!

Mary Engelbright lives in our town and her work is very similar. have a lovely weekend Susan.
I have always enjoyed Susan branches art work...I am not sure who my favorite modern artist is...I do enjoy a lot of different styles of art. I like Gustav Klimt art and other artists of similar style.
You know Mary Engelbreit used to be my fav artist but she has changed her style and I am not to thrilled with the new look. But I am loving Susan Branch and have her calendar too! Kit

Hi Susan! Thanks for coming by my blog. To answer your question. Mary E. used to have such cute depictions of children and animals and very up beat quotes and phrases. But now she is more gritty and her art is more realistic and less romantic. I liked the romantic and I feel bad cause I think she has become cynical. :( Kit
