Afternoon Photos in New England

Come take a ride with me through a New England town.

Be warned, however, my car stops for fall foliage.

Yeah, I'm the cray-zee driver who pulls the car over to the side of the road in order to take in the autumn splendor.

With the car window rolled down, I stick out my camera and go click, click, click.

Can't stop. It's like an addiction, but in a good way.

I want to capture even a split second's worth of the magnificence that surrounds me.

This time of year, on sunny days, makes the heart ache with gratitude.

Oh my.  The vistas here in New England are just splendorous.

When the sun shines down through millions of brilliantly yellow leaves, it looks like heaven is lighting them up.

It would be so wonderful to share such beauty with everyone in the entire world!

The season, like life, itself, passes quickly but oh, what a journey along the way.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT FALL?

Thank you for that little jaunt. One of these days I am coming to see it for myself, then a leaf peeper I will be.

What I like most about fall is the lowering of the temperatures! I am not a fan of the hot summer. The next best thing would be the beautiful colors that just keep changing before our eyes. Truly gorgeous pictures you have, Susan. It makes me want another trip to New England in the fall.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Your pictures are breathtaking, and I thank you for sharing them with us! Our area is well-known for brilliant fall foliage as well, and many people from other parts of the country travel to E TN to see the Great Smoky Mountains in their autumn glory. In fact, this weekend should be the peak for those colors, as well as having the folks from Alabama coming in for the football game against TN!! I sure don't want to be on the highways this Saturday!! Like my sister, I am also fond of the cooler temperatures, and have no trouble staying comfortably warm in the house on these cool mornings. Have a glorious day, Susan, and thanks again for your lovely photography! :-)

My autumns, living in Massachusetts, I did the same thing, but usually did it by walking. Unlike out here in Seattle, drivers in the Northeast, who are in a hurry, tend to honk. I was so impressed that I captured their beauty between glass and made a serving tray that I take out each year to remind me of the feeling of seeing this spectacular season. My memory bank is full of looking up through the trees, as you've shown, and feeling in awe of nature, XOXO

Breath taking beauty...we would do great traveling a back road with our camera. I have so much wanted to take a picture of every tree I pass. LOL I think it would be to hard to chose what I like best as I like everything...but I could add I truly enjoy looking at everyone's beautiful fall photo's on their blogs. Photo seven caught my eye with the dark blue sky and gold leaves...sigh :)

Just spectacular! I've determined to spend at least one fall in New England. I'm like you ... I stop often for clicking the splendor in the trees.

I like the cooler breezes and the crunch of leaves underfoot.

You know when I die and go to Heaven - I think it will look a lot like this here. Gorgeous.

Gosh! The golden color is so gloriously magnificent. Everything here looks the same all the time. It does get a bit depressing at times. and so much garbage. Why people think it is okay to litter is beyond me. And we aren't talking a little trash ... I'm talking, roll your window down and throw bags out. Ugh! Something I will never get used to. Best wishes, Tammy
