Making Progress

In an effort to get as much as possible done before the end of  November, so I can enjoy the whole month of December and attend a variety of events, we have started decorating in earnest.

Hubs got the tree assembled and some of the lights put on.

I hauled lots of boxes from the third floor attic to the front hallway.

A Christmas tree table runner lines the front hall table along with a gold-tone rendition of the Holy Family.

Goldtone deer (purchased last year at a dollar store), surround the Little One.

I scarfed a round bowl from the china hutch in the dining room and added a candle.

It gives a nice look to the hallway with the lights out.

No decorating yet! I promised my grandson to wait until he gets here so he can help decorate the tree (12/20). I've got to get through a deadline then, I can get into the spirit. Until then, I can watch you put the glow & glitz on with a smile:-D

Yep, got 'er all done, Susan! The focus this year was on lights...everywhere...tiny ones and timed battery candles. These are great...come on as dusk falls and I don't have to worry about forgetting a fire...but can still have a fragrant candle when I want. Don't work too hard today!

I got a little done. Some stuff up from the basement but so much more to do! I'm trying to get done this week also. Then just relax and enjoy!!

Perhaps I did get some preparations done for Christmas. I changed out the china in the china cabinet for the Christmas china and the red tablecloth is on the table. However, part of my things are packed to leave the house for a period of time. More of that will be covered on my blog.:)

Have a good Monday, Susan!
