Tiny Chicks Bring Big Gratitude

Honestly, I can hardly begin to tell you all how filled with gratitude my heart feels right now.

During the past several weeks, I have received absolutely darling surprise  packages from blog peeps in Canada, Georgia, Kuwait, and Oregon!

Can you imagine how thrilling it is to come home from work and find an envelope or  box in that day's mail?

The kindness, warmth and generosity of sooooo many people in blogland just warm my spirit.

It's amazing to me, just utterly amazing.

Take, for instance, the tiny chicks shown in this post.

They came wrapped in tissue paper, inside a plastic "film" container, and tucked into a manilla envelope.

Sandie, a dear blog peeps from Georgia, sent them to me for
my dollhouse.

Her blog is Chatty Crone.

She ordered them from Art Miniatures by Diane Paone of Lake Hiawatha, NJ.

Diane did a terrific job making them, especially considering how itsy bitsy they are.

Now did you ever in your life see such colorful and adorable teeny tiny chicks?

That's a penny nearby them, to give you an idea of how little they are.

I'm going to share the other treasures with you in upcoming posts!

DO YOU THINK PEOPLE ARE BORN GENEROUS OR IS IT SOMETHING WE LEARN?

I think it's both Susan. I love blogland because it gives us a way to share and connect with people we can become friends with! When you follow bloggers you discover what they love, and you learn more about them bit by bit! It's so fun. I think it's just so wonderful to grow those relationships by sending a card or a treat or something. When I had my various retail stores, I used to get concerned about the material things as they were card and gift shoppes. A dear sweet Christian man told me, Linda, you are offering things that help relationships grow! I stopped worrying about it and focused on that!
Plus, Susan, you are the most generous reply person out there in blogland. You are so faithful...it amazes me how you keep up with so many dear friends. So, enjoy!
Love ya
Linda

I think some people are born with tender hearts, and if they are exposed to people who show gratitude, they will grow into the kind of loving and giving people that we all love! I'm not a blogger, but I do enjoy reading your entries, and there are a few others I follow that are most encouraging to me. I love your tiny little chicks, and I'm sure they'll find a good home in your dollhouse! Or, just maybe, you'll build a tiny henhouse just for them! :-)

Those are adorable! Sandie is so sweet! :)

Good question! I think it can be both, and it really depends on the environment we are raised in too, you know?

Blessings,
Karen

Well since I didn't make them I can say they sure are cute - she did a great job. I just remember how much my mom loved her dollhouse. And you love yours so much too! I think generosity is something you might be born with (empathy) - and learn by example - both what to do and what not to do!
Love, sandie

Funny how the the small things can make us so happy. Chicks! Hahaha... :)

I think some personalities are more open to generosity. Bur overall I think it is a learned trait. That's my philosophy anyway!
