Chandeliers Add Touches of Elegance

Chandy lovers are a special breed.

They can walk into a room that has chandeliers, stop in their tracks and look up.

Chandeliers make their hearts beat just a little bit faster.

All of the chandys in this post are located in a club that recently had an event I attended. (Wish they were in our house!)

By the way, chandys make my camera go click, click, click, too.

The ones at the club were drop dead gorgeous.

There were many of them and their reflections in wall mirrors made even more!

It would be interesting to know where they were made because they looked very, very expensive.

My guess would be Austria but I have no idea if that hunch is correct.

Around here we have a chandy purchased at Home Depot in the dining room.

The one in the downstairs bathroom was black wrought iron, now painted with five coats of white deck paint.

It's also  dripping with beads and sparkling baubles, thanks to my creative daughter.

If interested, you can read a post about it here.

Ahhhhh,, chandys. Gotta love 'em.

DO YOU LIKE CHANDELIERS OR IS YOUR TASTE MORE STREAMLINED AND MODERN?

What a coincidence to read about chandeliers just when I've posted about whether to get one in our newly painted hallway. I love them and the one you decorated with your daughter is just what I would like. It's really lovely. The ones in your club look really beautiful. You have given me an idea. If we do decide to buy one, mirrors on either wall would be magic. x

They are lovely things but I think they need a big area to show them off they look too fussy in small areas.

Hello from Spain: I really like this type of candle shaped lamps. I have a lamp in my living room. It was a gift from my mother in law. They are a very elegant lamps with many crystals. Keep in touch

I would like small vintage chandeliers in my guest room and bathroom, but I'm not a "chandy" person, in general.

I think chandeliers lend elegance to their surroundings! We don't go for the modern look here, but have the rather simple black wrought iron light fixtures with no shades over the flame-shaped light bulbs.

Yours are gorgeous!

What beautiful chandeliers! I do like the ambiance they impart, but don't think I have a spot for one in my home. Maybe......hmmmmm I'll have to think about that.

Enjoy your "chandys".

Chandeliers are like getting away with dressing upper-class 17th century, every day.
Love them.

Hi Susan, well, I do love them, big time! Sadly, there would not fit in my tiny house.

Just wanted to thank you for your loyal following and your sweet comments! If I could vote for my favorite blogger buddy, it would be you! I always delight when I see a comment from "Susan"...thanks so much.
