Brick Pathways Need More Bricks

Follow the red brick pathway, follow the red brick pathway.

Uh oh. If you follow the most recent red brick pathway around here, you'll come to a big, gaping gap.

We ran out of bricks.

Now I love anything made with bricks.

Hubs did a half-moon of bricks where the backyard fountain is located.

He also did another half moon at the bottom of the side porch steps.

He's pretty good at brick work.

However, the latest pathway is incomplete until I find more bricks.

I'm hoping to check with ReStore (Habitat for Humanity kind of thrift store for building materials.) Maybe they'll have some in stock for a good price.

In the meantime, follow the red brick pathway for as long as it goes...

DO YOU LIKE BRICK WALKWAYS?

I was amazed when I went to New England and realized the houses were mostly wooden frame, unlike ours that are mostly brick. We live in a town where they made bricks.

Yes, Missouri has a lot of brick...good clay and close to river banks for shipping and moving and even making.

Hope you find more bricks...got to keep Hubs on the job!

I had brick walkways when we lived in both Massachusetts and Connecticut; would love to put them in our new home when here. They are a perfect part of history and feel so welcoming. Your Hubs does a great job with laying the bricks...by the way! XOXO
