A "Sweetheart" of a Tablecloth

Valentine's Day is right around the corner.

Instead of looking at a bare dining room table, why not spiff it up with Valentine's Day in mind?

I put a plain red cloth on our table and topped it with a white crocheted one.

It looks like one great big Valentine!

In the middle is a large old-fashioned punch bowl. (If you are interested, you can read about its origin here.)

A red candle has been burning inside of it, giving the room a dreamy look.

DO YOU ENJOY USING TABLECLOTHS AT YOUR HOUSE?

How pretty, Susan! Just perfect for Valentine season! I like to keep table cloths on my table so I don't use it to collect "things."

Your tablecloth is lovely for the Valentine's day holiday. I like the lacy crocheted top on it.

Hello from Spain: I always use tablecloths. The tablecloths decorate the table. Nice pictures. Keep in touch

Oh I'm in love...sigh! It's so simple and beautiful. But you know that we have such similar taste:) The crocheted topper is Gorgeous with a capital G!

Stay warm my friend.

BTW - I have a pink table cloth that needs a quick iron then it will go on the kitchen table. I always have one on the dining room and living room tables:)

I love tablecloths, and have two very special ones I got from Domestications years ago for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think tablecloths can be an inexpensive way to add color and cheer to a room - especially in the winter. Love your beautiful crystal bowl.

Susan this is so pretty. I don't use tablecloths as much as I use placemats! Love the punch bowl as a centerpiece! Gorgeous!
