Welcome to All Who Enter

After the front door, the hallway of a home is the first place guests see.

With that in mind, make it a place where people get a warm welcome!

A few decorations, some candles,  lacy runners, photos, and a lighted lamp all help to say, "Welcome, come on in."

Since a couple of the photos were taken, I've added the sweet little angel to the front hall table.

Joining Home and Garden Thursday on Kathy's blog, A Delightsome Life.

HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR FRONT ENTRY HALL A WELCOMING PLACE?

I love going to see you and love what you have on your hall table from photos to candles, potpourri, and now angels. Keep up the good work.

You are so right about the front entry. Yours' shows a hospitable home because you obviously want your guests to feel welcome. Hospitality is a jewel and an island in an often unfriendly world. Blessings !

Hello from Spain: my entry hall is like yours. I have a hanger, a small table with pictures of my family and a large mirror. Keep in touch

Our apartment doesn't have a hallway. Just walk in the front door and there you are, right next to the dining table and then on to the living room. You know me, everything is decorated and usually an organized mess so I would hope it says, you are welcome, come on in. It certainly doesn't say keep out. :) Have a wonderful day. Tammy

I love to see all this Valentine's decor! I don't have too much out yet, so I'd better get going or I'll miss it completely.

You are such a great hostess to think about greeting your guests in a warm way. I'm sure you bless everyone with your graciousness :)

I'll be happy to share once we're in our own home...this one doesn't have a very welcoming set-up! Love yours very much, XOXO

I don't, Susan! How I wish I had an 'entryway' that was welcoming, but in split entry homes, it's kind of just a 'landing' you enter into, with one set of stairs leading up the the house and one set of stairs leading down to the basement.

Regarding the blue jays, yes, I throw out unsalted whole peanuts (in the shell) for all the critters and birds. They LOVE them! But they must be unsalted.

Stay warm, Susan!

I am in love with that pink jeweled frame, Susan. Your angel is sweet too. Your table definitely says "welcome" when guests come in the front door.

Have a nice day. It's raining here today, and much needed.

Love,
~Sheri
