Statue Awaits Summer's Flower Garden
A couple weekends ago, while looking through the classified section of the newspaper, news of an estate sale caught my attention.
Like many of us, I love estate sales but they are temptation grounds.
Even if I swear I'm not going to spend money, I almost always do.
Well, the sale was well worth going to as there were some very beautiful, quality items available.
In a back bedroom, I froze in my tracks.
A very heavy statue, most likely patterned after a figure from mythology, stood against one wall on a wooden stand.
In garden centers, I have seen statues such as the lady run into hundreds of dollars.
This one cost $35.
I bought her.
She became a special gift for my husband who, as some of you know, celebrated a big birthday this month.
Of course, I'll thoroughly enjoy this beauty, too, so it was a slightly selfish gift. hee hee
He loved the statue, though, and I do, too, so that's not too shabby.
Today we are joining Home and Garden Thursday on Kathy's blog, A Delightsome Life.
Stop by her blog and see a ton of great ideas from many blogs!
CAN ANYONE WITH KNOWLEDGE OF GREEK OR ROMAN MYTHOLOGY IDENTIFY WHO THIS LADY IS?

I have no idea who she is - but she is pretty - when you told me I couldn't imagine her - I have a hard time with visualization. So you bought this for your husband did you - what a great way to get a gift for yourself at the same time! lol
That was a great purchase! Statues can cost lots and she looks like she is pretty solid. Enjoy! Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
