New Blogger, Vickie Newman

                                                       VICKIE NEWMAN

Hello Dear Blog Peeps.

Please let me introduce you to a new blogger!

Her name is Vickie Newman.

Her new blog is titled Musings, Tea and Me.

She's a charming woman who is a wife and mother, nature-lover, quilter, reader, and writer.

There's going to be a separate post on Writing Straight from the Heart about the book she wrote of her own life, "Water's Edge:Growing Up in the Heart of a New England Village,"  so stay tuned.

Vickie's blog address is musingwithmytea.blogspot.com

Why not stop by and say hello?

If you feel the slight rumblings of Vickie being a kindred spirit, you can always show support for  a new blogger by following her brand spanking new blog!

Do you remember your very first week as a blogger?

I sure do. The first post filled my heart with anticipation and excitement.

Of course, I had no idea if anyone would be interested in anything being written but the blog came to be anyway.

When the first follower signed  up,  it was instant  elation!

Now, four  a half years later, I can honestly say blogging is one of the best, most beloved hobbies a person can have.

The people in blogland, for the most part, are genuinely decent, kind and loving human beings.

I'm positive Vickie will eventually feel the same about blogging as the rest of us do!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING? WHAT KEEPS YOU GOING?

Thanks for the intro to Vickie. I am so thankful for my blog friends. Some I have known since 2008, when I started blogging.

Hi Susan -

Congrats to Vickie!

I celebrated 6 years of blogging last month. It's been an amazing journey from aspiring writer to published author.

Blessings,

Susan,
Oh, I love to blog too, and I have met so many interesting and wonderful people in blog land. It's been about three years for us, and the friendships that I've made is one of the best things about it. Also, it is a way for us to express our creativity with Photography and words.

I'm off to check her blog out right now.

love,
~Sheri

Susan, how sweet of you to highlight Vickie! I just met Vickie last week on Karen Lange's blog. And I agree, she's definitely one of our kindred spirits!

Susan, thank you for stopping by Magnolia Cottage and leaving such kind words about the loss of my friend Paco Malo.

Funny, I was at your blog yesterday, read the post about Vickie, then clicked away to her blog before even leaving you a comment. I have remedied that and am now following you.

I have been blogging for 8 years, but in that time, I've taken breaks, some short, some long. For the last 3 years, I've been writing a classic film blog, and what has kept me going is my love of classic film and my desire to share those great oldie-goldies with others.

That said, though, I have grown weary of blogging solely about films, so last month, I decided to start a new blog (Magnolia Cottage), which is primarily geared to the recording of memories (current memories and childhood memories).

I've made wonderful friends through my years of blogging.

Blessings,
Patti
