Christmas Cactus Bursts into Bloom

News Flash:  Christmas cactus plants don't wait for Christmas to bloom.

We discovered that exquisite blooms opened from delicate buds.

They are creamy pastel pink with splotches of deeper color.

There's an exotic looking tip to each bloom, tinged in brilliant deep pink.

Christmas cactus could easily win a prize as being one of the
most elegant in the plant kingdom.

DO YOU HAVE A CHRISTMAS CACTUS? IF YES, WHAT COLOR?

Susan,
How cool is this that you keep your Christmas cactus so strong and healthy it blooms year after year, and when it takes the notion to do so-beautiful blossoms.
Not a Christmas cactus in my house, but you have inspired me!

Wow Susan, that bloom is beautiful. My grandma used to have one of those but I don't recall it ever blooming.
Have a great rest of your week.

Our Christmas cactus is about 4 years old and in color is the twin of yours. Ours is blooming now too. There is also a Thanksgiving cactus which looks very like these.

Hello from Spain: beautiful Christmas cactus. Every year I have a Christmas plant. I purchased the plant in early December. Very nice and decorates the house. Mine usually red and green. Keep in touch

That is so beautiful!

Do they usually bloom this time of year, somewhat near Christmas, or is the name just random?
