Sunday Lunch at an Old New England Inn

Okay sweet blog peeps...

Remember yesterday how we  promised another post about the Publick House, a lovely old inn,  in Sturbridge, Massachusetts?

Well, today we will tell you about some of the lunch entrees our party enjoyed in Ebenezer's Tavern at the inn.

So if you are hungry, you might want to go grab an apple or something.  (hee hee)

Everyone loved the bread basket offerings, especially the sticky pecan rolls.

One sister had decadent lobster pie, butternut squash and potatoes, shown below:

Here's the tavern's chicken pot pie, enjoyed by another sister:

The (early Thanksgiving) turkey dinner got  rave reviews from yet another sister!:

My own lunch, quite tasty, consisted of fish and chips,  but minus the chips.

Instead, I opted for a green salad with blue cheese dressing. Yummy.

The raspberry tart turned out to be a perfect ending of the meal for one guest.

Grapenut pudding, unfortunately, got a thumbs down from the sister who ordered it.

And very old fashioned Indian pudding, dark and spicy, satisfied completely.

So there you have it. That's the end of  the tavern's lunch offerings.  Are you hungry yet?

We'll close with the bouquet of flowers in one of the inn's hallways. It was so lovely.

WHAT WOULD YOU ORDER IF DINING IN AN INN?

Now that's comfort food if I've ever seen it! I'm sorry I won't be able to write anymore because I just ate my computer!
